Produced in Spring 2006, Angels Fall by Lanford Wilson, catapulted Theater Forum to a new level of critical and financial success and raised our recognition by audiences and performing artists. The actors were praised as “exceptional” “refreshingly layered” and “well-nuanced.” Audiences also raved about the show, calling it “fascinating”, “uplifting”, and “a gem”.

A Tony nominee for Best Play of 1983, Angels Fall strands six diverse characters in a tiny wayside chapel during a nuclear accident on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico. Ellen Seltz, the show’s producer, described the play’s appeal: “Angels Fall is even more relevant today than when it premiered. Now, New Yorkers know about the fear of unseen dangers, about pretending everything’s normal, about being lied to by those who should protect us. We know it because we’ve lived it.”
